2020年に亀田製菓株式会社代表取締役副社長に就任、国内・海外グループ会社の会長と役員を兼任:尾西食品、マイセン、ダワート亀田(インド)、Mary’s Gone Crackers(米国)。食品事業の国内・海外での推進に集中。その前、ロート製薬取締役副社長兼チーフヘルスオフィサー就任。同社子会社MGファーマ代表取締役社長。2003、太陽化学代表取締役副社長就任、複数の海外グループ会社最高責任者を兼任。
1984年に大阪大学工学部に研究員としてインドから来日し、1989年に名古屋大学大学院生命農学研究科博士課程を修了。日本国内外の行政機関の理事・アドバイザー歴任。機能性食品・医薬品・化粧品関連中心の研究、そこで培われた知識・技術を生かして商品開発や事業経営に展開。FIE史上初の3年連続受賞、IFT技術賞、農芸化学技術賞や新技術・食品開発賞など、様々な国々で数多くの賞を受賞。IFT FellowやIAFoST Fellow に選出。3冊本を出版、180以上の学術論文発表、130以上の特許出願。健康経営、技術、働き方改革などのトピック、日経などの雑誌やその他マスコミにも取り上げられている。
 
Dr Lekh Juneja is Executive Vice President/Representative Director at Kameda Seika spearheading the groups expansion in the food industry. He is also Chairman/Executive of group companies Onisi Foods, Maisen, Mary’s Gone Crackers (US) and Daawat Kameda (India). Previously, he was Executive VP/Senior Board Member and Chief Health Officer of Rohto Pharmaceutical, President of MG Pharma and Chairman of Rohto Group overseas subsidiaries. Before this, he was VP and Representative Director of Taiyo Kagaku, serving as CEO of overseas group companies (USA, Germany, China etc.)
He came to Japan in 1984 to join the Engineering Faculty, Osaka University, before completing a doctorate at the Graduate School of Bioagricultural Sciences, Nagoya University, 1989. He is an internationally recognised expert in research, development, manufacturing and marketing and has won multiple professional awards. He is engaged in research in functional foods, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics with prowess in product development and business management. He has published 3 books, over 130 patent applications and over 180 academic papers and has worked on boards for academic societies/associations internationally.
